How long does a drywall job take?

A single-room hang, tape, and finish runs about 3–5 working days with proper dry time between coats. A small patch is typically half a day on-site. Whole-house jobs we schedule in phases so the home stays livable.

We give you a written timeline with the estimate so you know when each phase starts and ends.

Repair vs. replace — when does each make sense?

For holes and cracks smaller than a forearm, a patch is faster and just as durable. For water damage, sagging, or widespread cracking we cut back to studs, replace insulation if needed, and re-hang — it's the only way the repair actually lasts.

Our process

  1. On-site walk-through and written estimate
  2. Floor protection and protective plastic before any cuts
  3. Hang, tape (one coat), two additional coats of joint compound, and sand smooth
  4. Prime so we can spot anything before paint
  5. Final clean and walk-through with you
